On 2018-11-21, police arrested ten Cameroon nationals from a house in Buruburu after determining that they were in the country illegally.
The men told officers that they had been brought to Nairobi and were waiting for arrangements to continue their journey to the Middle East. They were held at the local police station pending deportation.
The arrests came days after police rescued 169 other foreigners who were said to be victims of trafficking to the same region. According to the earlier operation, 79 people were found in a house in Mlango Kubwa, Nairobi, including 75 Comoros nationals, three Ugandans and a Congolese national.
Police later rescued another 90 people from different parts of Nairobi. That group included 86 Comoros nationals, three Ugandans and a Somali citizen. All of them were reported to be facing deportation.
