360 Degrees Pizza Kenya was looking to hire a cashier in Nairobi, according to a vacancy published on 20 November 2018.
The role centered on handling cash transactions at the register, with the successful applicant expected to manage billing, give correct change, and ensure takeaway and delivery orders were processed properly.
What the cashier would do ¶
The company said the cashier would be responsible for following cash-handling SOPs, taking takeaway orders, preparing delivery orders on time, and suggesting products to guests. The post also required the person to maintain hygiene at the cashier station and ensure cutlery was wiped, polished, and displayed properly at the relevant stations.
What the employer wanted ¶
Applicants were expected to be computer literate in MS Suite and have working knowledge of Micros. Other requirements included the ability to work under pressure, honesty and integrity, good communication skills, and strong customer service.
The vacancy also listed core competencies such as phone etiquette, menu knowledge, multitasking, flexibility, time management, attention to detail, mathematical ability, and sales skills.
