On November 20, 2018, Nyakundi Report noted how a single photo of Kenyan Twitter user @RamzZy_ quickly became meme material after it was shared online the previous day. The image showed him walking in a way that social media users described as unusually forceful, and the reaction spread fast across Twitter.

What followed was a familiar internet pile-on: users took the photo and recast it into jokes about supermarkets, Christmas travel, office IT staff, movie posters and even political imagery. The original post that helped drive the trend was shared by Mūrūthi (@Ngartia) on November 19, 2018, and the captions that followed kept multiplying from there.

One of the early jokes compared the pose to Kenyan supermarket supervisors being called to enter a password, with another user writing, “Cashier: PASSWORD” and “1hr later… Password guy.” Other versions placed the image in Christmas-season Nairobi scenes, while another user framed it as how IT staff appear when a machine stops working.

The meme treatment then moved into Photoshop territory. Twitter users edited the image into a Bad Boys 2¾ poster, an I am Legend poster, a claim that he had “left the country to china,” and a sprint-race scene alongside Usain Bolt. More edits placed him beside Jesus, at a pro wrestling match, with Ice Cube, and even walking with the head of state and his deputy.

The viral response showed how quickly a single local photo can be turned into a full meme cycle on Kenyan social media. By the end of the thread, the image had been pushed far beyond the original post and into a stream of jokes that kept building on each other.
