On 20 November 2018, South African Premier League club Black Leopards confirmed the appointment of former Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr as their new head coach.
Kerr replaces Joel Masutha, who resigned last week after Leopards were beaten 3-1 by Cape Town City. The change comes as the club struggles near the bottom of the 16-team PSL table, where it sat 14th after 11 rounds with only two wins and just above the relegation zone.
The move also marks Kerr’s return to South African football. Before his spell in Kenya, he had worked in the country with Mpumalanga Black Aces alongside Aiki Agiomamititis and Sammy Troughton.
Kerr left Gor Mahia after guiding the Kenyan champions to back-to-back league titles. Black Leopards were due to face Mamelodi Sundowns in their next Absa Premiership fixture, but that match was postponed because Sundowns were involved in CAF Champions League duties.
