On 2018-11-20, reports linked former Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr to a possible raid on his old club after he was appointed Black Leopards boss in South Africa.
Kerr is believed to want to bring in players he already knows well, with Francis Kahata and Philemon Otieno named among the names under consideration. Both players enjoyed two strong seasons under the Englishman at Gor Mahia, where Kahata was widely regarded as the team’s creative force and Otieno emerged as a promising defender.
Sources close to Kerr say his interest in the pair is tied to his effort to help Black Leopards avoid relegation in the South African Premier League. He was appointed only days after ending his contract at Gor Mahia by mutual consent.
If the move materialises, Gor Mahia could lose two of its key players shortly after parting ways with one of its most successful coaches in recent years.
