Nyakundi Report is publishing the 2018 KCPE top performers list as it appeared in the archive, with the results showing a tight race at the top and strong representation from several counties.
The archive was published on 20 November 2018. At the summit of the list were Olive Mwea Wachira of Riara Road Primary in Nairobi and Rawlings Odhiambo Aketch of Kakamega Hill School, both on 453 marks. Mogusu Victor Momanyi of Emmanuel Springs Academy in Makueni followed with 452, while Asanga Leonard Munayi of Moi Primary School, Kabarak, posted 451.
Other pupils named in the 2018 results included Merabu Adan Osinga of Booker Academy, Kakamega, on 449; Ashley Wambui Wambugu of Kutus Municipality Primary, Kerugoya, on 447; and Joshua Angwekwe of Rudan Junior Academy and Njue Chantal Njeri of Thika Road Christian School, both on 446.
The list also placed several pupils on 445 and 444 marks, among them Namisi Sharon Namikoye of Tender Care Academy, James Sewe of St Peters Cape View, Njagi Ronnie Gathuku of Effort Junior School, King’ori Karleen Njeri of Riara Road Primary, Onyango Rueben Ombura of M.M Shah in Kisumu, Charles Chiteti of St Peters Boys in Kakamega, and Njoroge Karanja of Makini.
Below that, the archive recorded Fleon Ogutu of Gilgil Hills Academy and Wanjohi Ivy Nyambura of High Peak Junior Academy, Naivasha, on 443. A group of pupils, including Alvin Gikunju of PCEA Kahawa Sukari, Dorothy Hadassah of Genesis Preparatory School in Kisii, Njonje Jefferson Amukhono of Marel Academy, Debra Gakii of Kathigiri Boarding School, Hilary Muriungi of Fred’s Academy, and Kevin Manyansi of Makini School, Nairobi, were listed on 442.
Those on 441 included Waihenya Elizabeth Wanjeri of Nyeri Primary, Muchiri Brian Nderitu of Elite School in Murang’a, Ian Kiama of Kathigiri Primary, Abundance Kariuki Nyaga of Fred’s Academy, Sirma Amy Jemutai of Ongata Academy, Samora Ochieng of St Peters’ Boys, and Sala Abdimaaid Yakubu of Makini. Mvurya Hassan Wanini of Likunda Primary School in Kwale was listed on 440.
Coast region ¶
In the Coast region, Mvurya Hassan Wanini of Likunda Primary School in Kwale led the group with 440 marks. Rachael Rehema Masa of Bamba Kofi Academy in Kilifi had 434, Fatma Anis of Memon Academy had 433, Bushuru Joan Ongachi of Mtwapa Elite Academy in Kilifi had 431, while Evans Musyoka of Coast High Vision and Mahenzo Yeri of Dzikunze in Kilifi each had 430.
Northern Kenya ¶
The Northern Kenya section of the 2018 list named Mohammed Isack of Moyale Junior with 430 marks, Mohamed Diis Furqan of Integrated Academy in Wajir with 426, and Britney Kirimi Mwenda of High Vision Junior School in Isiolo County with 421.
