On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results placed Hassan Wanini Mvurya, the son of Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya, among the year’s standout candidates after he scored 440 marks out of 500.
Hassan sat the exam at Likunda Primary School in Ukunda, and his score made him the top performer in the Coast region. The national results were released on Monday by Education CS Amb. Amina Mohammed.
At the top of the countrywide list were Olive Wachira of Riara Road Primary School in Nairobi and Rawlings Odhiambo of Hill School in Kakamega, both of whom scored 453 marks. Victor Momanyi Mogusu of Emmanuel Springs Academy in Makueni followed with 452, while Leonard Asanga of Moi Primary School, Kabarak, scored 451.
Ashley Wambui Mwangi of Kutus Municipality Primary School in Kirinyaga County also featured among the leading candidates with 447 marks. Form One selection was scheduled to begin on December 3.
