Kenya Harlequins RFC player and former Simbas scrum half Lyle Asiligwa briefly triggered a missing-person scare on Tuesday morning, 20 November 2018, after friends and family said they could not reach him and his phones were off.
He was last seen on Monday, 19 November, when he left his Kabete home at about 5 a.m. in his black Toyota Fielder. By the time the matter was reported at Kabete Police Station, concern had already spread across social media as relatives and friends tried to trace him.
Within about three hours of the report, Asiligwa used Twitter to reassure the public that he was fine. In his post, he wrote:

It later emerged that he had gone to visit a female friend and stayed there overnight. His family then called off the search and thanked Kenyans for helping trace him.
The episode ended quickly, but not before it had drawn wide attention online and prompted a police report in Kabete.
