On November 20, 2018, Nyakundi Report is revisiting a tragic Uasin Gishu incident in which Edward Nyamu lost his life after a lorry rammed into his family’s house on Sunday.

The crash came only hours before the KCPE results were released the following day. When the marks were announced, Edward had scored 347 out of 500, a strong performance that his family never got to celebrate with him.

The death added to the shock around the accident because it happened at a time when many parents across the country were celebrating their children’s KCPE results. Instead, Edward’s family was left mourning a son whose future had appeared promising.

The report also noted that this was the second case in less than a week in which a lorry lost control and hit a house.
