The meeting came as Ruto continued his countrywide political tours ahead of 2022, a period in which he was frequently photographed greeting ordinary Kenyans and building his public image around the “hustler” brand.
Photos shared by Jaguar on social media showed Ruto interacting closely with the children. In one image, he is seen cupping one girl’s face while her sister, Tamara Wambui, watches. Another photo shows Ruto holding Tamara’s hand as he shakes hands with Jaguar.
Jaguar captioned the images: “Sunday well spent with his Excellency Deputy president William Ruto,” and added, “…..angels are often disguised as daughters.”
The post did not disclose what Ruto discussed with the children, but the images were presented as part of the Deputy President’s wider charm offensive, which had also been visible in other public stops, including Kisii.
