On Saturday, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu's firstborn daughter Monica Njeri will be exchanging vows with her fiancé Dr. Nyotu Gitau in a highly anticipated wedding ceremony.

Monica, a medical professional, is set to marry Dr. Gitau, who has a background in Health Innovation from the University of Cape Town and MBCHB from the University of Nairobi's School of Medicine.

Dr. Njeri, on the other hand, is a graduate of medicine from the University of Nairobi and currently serves as a senior doctor at the Gatundu Level 5 Hospital, having been employed by the Kiambu government. Prior to her current role, she worked at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

The wedding ceremony is scheduled to take place at PCEA Evergreen Church in Runda from 10:30 am, with the reception to be held at the Windsor Golf and Country Club. The events are exclusive to invitees only.

Meanwhile, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is expected to prosecute Governor Waititu's wife, Susan Ndung'u, and their daughter, Monica Njeri, on graft-related charges. The Director of Public Prosecution, Noordin Haji, has already approved their prosecution, alongside eight chief officers at the county and businessmen.
