On July 18, 2019, Kisumu County Government made a remarkable gesture by naming a road after celebrated comedian Eric Omondi.
Eric Omondi, known for his comedic contributions to the entertainment scene, has gained international recognition through successful tours in Dubai, Dallas, Vegas, and East African countries.
Expressing his gratitude, Eric Omondi took to social media saying, "Thank you so much Kisumu County Government for this GREAT HONOR???…I will forever CHERISH this??? I promise to make you even prouder!!! I will endeavor to lift the name of my County Kisumu and Country Kenya?????? higher and Higher. This is my home, My town, My City, My Country."
Eric Omondi's achievement serves as an inspiration to young people in the country, emphasizing that with belief and hard work, one can achieve anything.
Despite the success, Eric Omondi has faced personal challenges, including the loss of his girlfriend, Miss Chanty.
