The Catholic University of Eastern Africa has made history by achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, a testament to its commitment to quality education and academic excellence.
On 15th March 2019, the university received the coveted certificate from the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), marking a significant milestone in its journey towards becoming a world-class institution.
With a heritage of 35 years in offering quality education based on the Catholic Quality tradition, the university was initially certified by KEBS in August 2011 for the ISO 9001:2008 Standard.
However, the university's management remained committed to ensuring that it met the requirements for transition to the revised Standard, which was released in September 2015.
As a result, the university underwent rigorous preparations and external quality audits by KEBS, ultimately achieving the coveted ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Receiving the certificate, the Rector and Vice Chancellor, Very Rev Prof Stephen Mbugua, commended the university staff for their hard work and dedication in achieving this significant milestone.
