Janet Rangi, author of American Success Pathways, has an inspiring story of overcoming obstacles to achieve academic success in the United States. Born and raised in Western Kenya, Janet's academic journey began with a C+ grade in her secondary school examinations, which her parents considered a fail. However, Janet refused to give up on her dreams and pursued a degree in nursing at Baraton University of Eastern Africa.

After graduating, Janet worked as an intern at the Kenyatta Hospital for a year before joining the Aga Khan University Hospital. It was during her time at the Aga Khan Hospital that she met an agent who was recruiting nurses to go to the United States. Despite facing a setback when she fell pregnant and got married in May 2003, Janet persevered and eventually secured a spot to pursue her Master's degree in Family Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Janet's determination and hard work paid off, and she went on to earn a postgraduate degree in psychiatry and mental health from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley, USA. Today, Janet is a renowned author and motivational speaker, dedicated to helping Kenyans find decent employment or education opportunities abroad.

Janet's book, American Success Pathways, offers valuable insights and guidance to those seeking to pursue their dreams in the United States. Her story is a testament to the fact that academic success is within reach, regardless of one's background or circumstances.
