Media personality Laura Walubengo, who left Capital FM after 12 and a half years, has revealed that the transition to DStv was a life-changing experience.
Walubengo, who worked as a presenter, news anchor, and head of Capital Digital Media, noted that despite the fear of change, the transition turned out to be very rewarding.
“Moving from Capital to DStv was such a life changer for me. I grew so much and so quickly. My outlook, my ideas, my thought process, my dreams, the possibilities; everything just grew. It was so scary leaving Capital FM after 12.5yrs, and it wasn’t an active move but rather a door opening and I couldn’t peep - I was either in or out. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds. Even today! 6 days to 39” shared Laura Walubengo.
Walubengo worked at Capital FM before leaving for South Africa in 2014 to join MultiChoice, where she secured a job as the Lead Digital Communications Specialist East Africa for DStv based in Kenya. She returned to Capital FM in 2017 but left again in July 2018 to join China Global Television Network (CGTN).
