On July 18, 2019, Kambua shared a heartfelt message with her followers, expressing her sympathy for women who may have been triggered by her pregnancy announcement.

She had first shared her baby bump picture in May, and many people had congratulated her and offered words of encouragement. However, Kambua was aware that conceiving had been a struggle for her, and she had also faced constant trolls on social media.

As she navigated her pregnancy journey, Kambua realized that she may have triggered the wrong emotions in fellow women who were struggling with infertility. She acknowledged that pregnancy announcements can be serious triggers for those who are waiting to conceive.

'I've been around long enough and been through enough to know that pregnancy journeys are not perfect - far from it. They are messy, hope-filled, scary, joyful, and just very... complicated,' Kambua said.

She shared that she had days when she was angry and hurt, but she was reminded that God was enough for her. It was then that God was able to deal with her heart.

She sent a message to the women on her timeline who may have been hurt by her announcement, praying that God would turn their darkness into a spark of hope. Kambua reminded them that nothing is hard for God, and He will do it right, according to His will.
