Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Lyon's highly-rated midfielder Florent Da Silva, according to reports.
Published on July 18, 2019, L'Equipe claims the Red Devils are expected to make an imminent bid for the 17-year-old, who is considered a top-class talent.
Da Silva, who has already played senior football in the French fourth tier for Lyon's reserves, is out of contract next summer and United have shown serious interest in bringing him to Old Trafford.
While negotiations between the two clubs are at a very advanced stage, United are attempting to buy out the final year of Da Silva's contract as he considers his options and eyes the best project for his future.
Da Silva has already featured in the UEFA Youth League against Ajax and Barcelona, and is considered one of Lyon's top talents. The French side remain hopeful of convincing him to stay.
United's new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will try to tempt him to join his Old Trafford revolution as he focuses on building with young players for the future.
