Success can be elusive, and it's not just about working hard. It's about having the right mindset and making smart decisions.

As someone who has been in the trenches of entrepreneurship, I've learned that success is not just about achieving your goals, but also about understanding what holds you back.

Recently, I had a conversation with a friend who was struggling to find success. He was ambitious, but he was giving up too easily. He reminded me of my younger self, who had great business ideas but didn't know how to execute them.

I remember feeling frustrated and broke, wondering if I was destined for failure. But I didn't give up. I regrouped, and I made a conscious decision to work harder and smarter.

One of the key lessons I learned was the importance of budgeting and setting spending priorities. I got involved with my family's budget even before I had strong businesses, and it helped me understand the value of money.

It's not just about making money; it's about making smart decisions with the money you have. As DJ Loop taught me, you should always invest in what made you money in the first place, save, take a risk on an opportunity, and reward yourself occasionally.

Another important lesson I learned was the importance of knowing when to move on to a new venture. When one of my businesses is stable, I take the 'experimental' budget and try out a new venture. Businesses are selfish, and they want your attention. If you can't afford to give them attention, you won't see the results you project.

Success is not just about having a great idea; it's about executing that idea and being willing to learn from your mistakes.
