On July 18, 2019, an Australian court handed down a 10-month jail sentence to former TV personality Esther Arunga.
Arunga's sentence comes just three days after she admitted to lying to police about the circumstances surrounding her son's death.
According to reports, Arunga lied about the incident to protect her husband, Quincy Timberlake.
In a statement to the Australian police, Arunga claimed she was 'terrified of being alone' and felt terrible because her husband was sick at the time of the incident.
Arunga told the court that on the night of June 17, 2014, she had gone to the bathroom only to return and find Quincy hitting their son, Sinclair, in the stomach.
Quincy allegedly said, 'There's a devil in Sinclair's stomach, I have to get it out.'
