Tabitha Karanja, Chief Executive of Keroche Breweries, has been cleared to vie for the Nakuru Senatorial seat.

Initially scheduled to return her papers on Monday for clearance, Karanja was turned away due to the absence of her party certificate.

Undeterred, Karanja expressed gratitude towards the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) team for their gracious handling of her clearance, despite their tight schedule.

As a first-time politician, Karanja is not intimidated by the 'old guards' in politics, citing her experience in fighting tough battles in the business world.

Other candidates cleared to vie for the seat include Lawrence Karanja, veteran politician Koigi Wamwere, businessman Crispus Wathimba, and Mike Weche.
