On Tuesday morning, a devastating road accident occurred along the Nairobi-Namanga road, claiming the life of Stella Memusi, wife of Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened at the Isinya/Kajiado road near Kentraco area when a motor vehicle driven by 38-year-old Faizal Abdi collided with a stationary lorry.
Abdi, who was driving a Nissan Patrol registration number KBT 872A, escaped with minor injuries and was rushed to Kajiado hospital for treatment.
Police investigations revealed that Abdi was driving towards Kajiado from the Isinya direction when he hit a trailer registration number T608 CWW/T336 CFZ, which was obstructing the left lane with no warning signs displayed.
As a result of the accident, Stella Memusi died on the spot, while her driver escaped with minor injuries.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kajiado hospital Mortuary for preservation, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Both vehicles were towed to Isinya Police Station, with the Patrol extensively damaged.
