On May 31, 2022, a devastating road accident occurred along the Nairobi-Namanga road, claiming the life of Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi's wife, Mrs. Stella Memusi.
According to Kajiado police commander Muthuri Mwongera, the vehicle carrying Mrs. Memusi collided with a lorry, resulting in her instant death. The driver of the vehicle was also injured and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
