An audit report revealed 13 stalled projects worth Sh23.7 million in Bahati constituency, managed by MP Kimani Ngunjiri.
The projects, which were supposed to be completed by the end of June 2019, have been marred by gross anomalies, including unsatisfactory implementation.
According to the report, six projects with a combined budget of Sh7.6 million have been flagged for their poor execution.
One of the anomalies involved the completion of a dining hall at Bahati PCEA Girls Secondary School, where painting worth Sh156,000 was not done as per the bill of quantities.
Another anomaly was the construction of two classrooms at Bahati Secondary School, which was delayed for seven months despite a budget of Sh2 million.
The constituency was also criticized for the construction of 16 doors and a toilet block at Osembo Primary School, where batten doors were used instead of semi-solid flush doors, as per the cost consultant's budget of Sh104,000.
The report also highlighted the partitioning of a library at Kiamaina Secondary School, the completion of a storey building with four classrooms and a laboratory at St Gerald's Secondary School, and the construction of four toilet doors at Lanet Secondary School, which had not been labelled.
