Akothee Denies Influencing Daughter's New Job at Unga Ltd ¶
Musician Akothee has come out strongly to dismiss speculation that she pulled strings to secure her daughter Vesha a job at Unga Holdings Limited.
On May 25, 2022, Akothee had announced Vesha’s new job as she visited her in her new office.
“Utamu waa kusomesha mtoto, ni mtoto kupata kazi na kufanya kazi,” Akothee wrote, sharing a photo of her daughter in her new office.
However, the appointment of Akothee as Unga Holdings Limited’s brand ambassador just a month prior had led to assumptions that Akothee used her influence to get her eldest daughter the job.
But in a lengthy post on social media, the mother of five said Vesha got the gig on merit.
“I hope you pick a leaf from Vesha Shillan Awour Okello,” Akothee wrote, adding that all her children are go-getters.
“The only thing I have achieved positively in life is raising responsible go-getters,” she explained.
“Well, all my children have different strengths and that’s what I invest in,” Akothee said, adding that she has never asked for a job for her children, not even in her companies.
“My kids are go-getters, that’s what I installed in them,” Akothee wrote, sharing photos of her children in their respective workplaces.
