England's Nations League campaign is set to begin without Arsenal defender Ben White, who has withdrawn from the squad due to a hamstring injury.

White, a four-cap England international, had been dealing with the issue and missed Arsenal's final Premier League game of the season against Everton.

Despite being selected by England boss Gareth Southgate, White will now stay at Arsenal for treatment in a bid to return in time for the start of next season.

England face a double header against Hungary, as well as games against Germany and Italy, in their Nations League campaign ahead of the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
