On May 30, 2022, four men were arrested at the Kabete police station in connection with the alleged robbery of passengers on a bus traveling from Kisumu to Nairobi.

The suspects, Stephen Odero, Benson Hamisi, Harrison Nyamu, and Joshua Orengo, were apprehended after the bus driver reported that the passengers had been robbed and left stranded.

According to reports, the passengers had been asleep when they were awoken by the bus driver, who claimed that they had been robbed and left with nothing.

The passengers alleged that they had lost money, phones, and other valuable items, including laptops.

Police found some of the stolen items on the suspects, which led to their arrest.

Magistrate Renee Kitangwa ordered the suspects to be held for seven days to allow for further investigation and to record statements from witnesses.

"After the bus driver reported that the passengers had been robbed and left stranded, I have ordered the suspects to be held for seven days," Kitangwa said.
