On May 30, 2022, Mama Ida Odinga, wife of ODM leader Raila Odinga, met with young artist Masten Wellington Otieno who designed a State House sketch for the former Prime Minister.
The sketch was presented to Raila during a rally at the William Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok County a week ago, but the young artist did not get to meet the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate at the time.
Wellington, a Form Three student, had been discouraged after his piece of work was returned to him after the rally, but he requested to meet the former Premier to deliver the gift to him.
However, due to Raila's tight campaign schedules, he could not meet Mama Ida, but she made up for it by giving Wellington biscuits and suits as a token of appreciation.
Mama Ida also promised to sponsor Wellington's education, and she committed to ensuring that talented children like him stay in school.
