July 18, 2019, marked a significant day for Ian Munene, a young Kenyan thespian who rose to fame as 'Almasi' in the popular comedy-drama 'Machachari'. The talented actor has achieved a major milestone in his life by graduating from the University of Kent, a semi-collegiate public research university based in Kent, UK.

According to Munene, his transition into a self-expressive, cross-dressing young adult has been difficult to take for most of his fans. However, the University of Kent provided a conducive environment where he could be true to himself without being judged or bullied.

During his time at the university, Munene opened up about his difficult past, revealing that he was bullied in school for his feminine attributes. He shared his story in a blog post, stating, "Looking back at my childhood, as mentioned in my previous post, I always held myself back from expressing what I truly felt, not only with opinions on different things but also with how I presented myself. I was so caught up with what people thought of me and that took over my daily life. Being bullied since primary school only made it worse."

Despite the challenges he faced, Munene's graduation day was a joyous occasion, marked by excitement and celebration. He took to social media to share pictures of himself with his friends, showcasing his happiness and accomplishment.
