Okutoyi, the 2018 Kenya Open queen and 2021 Africa Under-18 champion, was defeated 6-2, 6-4 in 59 minutes on the clay courts. The 18-year-old athlete, ranked 66 on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior rankings, struggled with five double-faults compared to Marcinko's two.
