On May 30, 2022, Kenya's Ministry of Health announced 91 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 2,371 tested in the last 24 hours.
The new cases bring the total confirmed positive cases to 324,859, with a positivity rate of 3.8% and cumulative tests conducted being 3,667,547.
Of the new cases, 45 were Kenyans, while 46 were foreigners, with 58 being males and 33 females.
The youngest case was a 5-year-old, while the oldest was 77 years old.
County-wise distribution showed Nairobi with 82 cases, Mandera with 4, Mombasa with 2, and one case each in Kwale, Nyeri, and Siaya.
Age-wise distribution of positive cases was as follows: 0-9 years (3), 10-19 years (3), 20-29 years (11), 30-39 years (19), 40-49 years (33), 50-59 years (15), and 60 years and above (7).
Meanwhile, 63 patients recovered from Covid-19, all of them from the Home-Based and Isolation Care Program.
With the recoveries, the total recoveries increased to 318,524, of which 265,493 were from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 53,031 were from various health facilities countrywide.
Fortunately, no patient succumbed to the disease, keeping the cumulative fatalities at 5,651.
