Janet Mbugua, a renowned media personality, has filed for divorce from her husband Eddie Ndichu. The couple's marriage, which took place in 2015 at Chaka Ranch in Nyeri county, has come to an end.
According to Janet's sister Sharon Mbugua, the couple's relationship was a surprise to their family. Sharon, a mental health advocate and member of Kenya's Mental Health Association, described Janet as a go-getter during the debut of Janet's podcast.
Sharon reminisced about the time Eddie proposed to Janet, saying, 'Eddy had been in and out of her life. I remember the first time I saw him was during a farewell party at KTN, when she was going to South Africa.'
Sharon added that Janet was cautious about Eddie's reputation with women, saying, 'Janet really tried to ask about such and other things because, how would she know for sure?' Despite this, Eddie was able to win Janet's heart and even went out of his way to prove himself.
As a family, they later changed their tune and assisted Janet in planning her wedding, with Sharon saying, 'We helped with invitations and started planning for her wedding. But I can say, it was more of a surprise.'
