A viral video sparked outrage after it appeared to show a Nairobi club segregating black customers from European patrons.
Alchemist club, located in Nairobi, initially apologized for the incident, stating that they regretted the action and offered to have a round-table discussion to address the issue.
However, in a surprising twist, the club has now denied the allegations of racism, claiming that the viral video was misleading.
According to the club, the line outside the venue was composed of people from different backgrounds, and there was no policy of segregating lines.
They also claimed that a group of customers who had stepped out and were re-entering the venue were allowed to come in through the exit line to avoid clogging the main entrance.
The club's statement was met with skepticism by many Kenyans, who pointed out that the club had previously discriminated against black customers.
