National Bank Supports MetroTrans Limited with Fleet of 80 Buses

On May 30, 2022, National Bank of Kenya (NBK) handed over a fleet of 80 buses to MetroTrans Limited, a public transport company, in a move that underscores the bank's commitment to supporting key economic enablers.

The buses, supplied by Simba Corporation Limited, were financed through NBK's Asset Based Finance Product, which offers up to 90% financing payable within 60 months with an option of KShs. 300,000 working capital.

Speaking during the event, NBK Retail Banking Director Carol Rutto noted that the partnership with MetroTrans Limited is a testament to the bank's desire to continue availing convenient products to its clients across various market segments.

“We are delighted to finally hand over the buses that will ultimately transform the travel experience of commuters along the routes that Metro Trans operates,” Ms. Rutto said.

According to MetroTrans Limited Director, Mr. Oscar Omurwa Rosana, the new fleet will enable the company to modernize its operations and grow its margins adequately.

“We are grateful to the National Bank of Kenya for the support. This will go a long way in modernizing our fleet as well as grow our margins adequately,” he noted.

Simba Corp Motors MD Naresh Leekh emphasized the importance of comfort in bus travel, stating that Fuso buses are designed to provide passengers with a comfortable journey.
