On May 30, 2022, a police officer in Migori County was attacked by suspected robbers, leaving him fighting for his life.
According to a police report, the officer, Mr. Samuel Miheso, was on his way home in Rongo Township when he was ambushed by three suspects.
‘The officer reported at about 2am that he was proceeding to his rented residential house when he was attacked by three men who were armed with crude weapons,’ the report read.
Mr. Miheso managed to escape after a confrontation with the assailants but was left bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the nearest hospital by members of the public.
Doctors confirmed that he was in a stable condition, and the scene was visited by police officers who launched a manhunt for the trio.
