On May 7, 2022, Geoffrey Waithaka, 32, visited Sizzling Hotel and Restaurant in Nairobi's Moi Avenue for a relaxing evening.

He ordered his favorite food and drinks, and as he was enjoying his meal, he noticed a woman sitting alone, looking at him.

The woman, dressed in an orange mini short and a sleeved dress, caught his attention, and he asked her to join him.

After chatting for a while, Waithaka excused himself to take a call, but when he returned, he felt dizzy and nauseated.

Despite his condition, he tried to finish his food, but he couldn't.

He went to the washroom and started vomiting foam, and when he returned, he told the woman he wasn't feeling well and would be heading home.

She offered to take him to his house in Embakasi, and Waithaka thought it was a Good Samaritan's act.

However, when they reached his house, the woman's intentions became clear, and Waithaka woke up on Monday at midday to find his valuables, including his laptop, phones, and Sh7,300, gone.

He had been under the influence of a drug for over 48 hours and rushed to Bliss Healthcare for medical attention.

After tests, he went to the Central Police Station to report the matter, but he says he has been taken in circles.

Waithaka suspects hotel managers had covered up the incident and that the woman had used the hotel's CCTV footage to her advantage.
