Anerlisa Muigai, the Keroche heiress, has been dealt a blow after being forced to leave her luxurious residence in Pyramid Valley, Lavington, Nairobi. The entrepreneur had rented the spacious house for Ksh1 million per month.
According to sources, the auctioneers, Samumu Auctioneers, were attempting to recover a debt of approximately Ksh 3.4m that Muigai owes a city businessman from a defamation case. The auctioneers had obtained a court order to attach Muigai's property, including her Range Rover car.
“We obtained a court order. We came here with police to supervise unfortunately when we came, we met one politician who intimidated us he even threatened to call goons to throw us out as a result the police were reluctant to stay for us to carry out our job,” Samuel Mutisya, an auctioneer, said.
Following the raid, Muigai announced on social media that she had sold her Range Rover car, stating, “Also, I thought I should mention. Those car dealers reselling my car, be aware the car found a buyer!” She also expressed her sadness at leaving her Nairobi home, saying, “I cannot believe I have to move out of my Nairobi home. I will surely miss you. #Situations. It was such a beautiful home. Parking is so empty. We out,”
Muigai has since moved out of the house and announced that she will be settling in Nakuru County, where her parents reside. The move comes after a tumultuous period for the entrepreneur, who has been dealing with the aftermath of a defamation case.
