On May 28, 2022, Strathmore Leos were crowned the champions of the 55th Edition of Christie 7s at RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.
Leos ended KCB's 11-match winning streak in the 2022 circuit series by winning the second leg of the National Sevens Circuit.
Strathmore Leos started strongly, with Philemon Olang scoring the first try of the match for a 5-0 lead, followed by Barnabas Owuor's second try to stretch the lead to 10-0.
KCB responded through winger Geoffrey Okwach, but Strathmore held on to win the 55th edition of Christie Sevens.
Strathmore won the tournament unbeaten, winning all six matches in the two-day event.
They defeated Blak Blad 34-0, Impala 36-0, and Daystar Falcons 24-5 in Group B, before knocking out Kenya Harlequin 17-10 in the quarters and Western Bulls 29-7 in the semis.
