Senate Minority Leader Moses Wetangula has announced his intention to defend his seat despite a deal between Kenya Kwanza and other parties.

Wetangula's decision comes as a surprise to many, given the agreement between Kenya Kwanza and other parties to field joint candidates in the upcoming elections.

Speaking to the press, Wetangula stated, 'I have made up my mind to defend my seat, and I am confident that I will emerge victorious.'
