On Saturday morning, two minors went missing from their home in Mbooni sub-county, sparking a desperate search effort.
Tragically, their bodies were later found inside the house of a man who had recently started working as a Shamba boy for their neighbors.
According to neighbors, the girls had been lured to the suspect's house by him, after he discovered their uncle was asleep at home.
It is alleged that the girls may have been strangled to death before the suspect locked their bodies inside his house.
When police officers arrived at the scene, they were overpowered by an angry mob who stoned the suspect to death and set his body on fire.
