On Saturday, May 28, 2022, Kenya Shujaa's hopes of advancing in the London Sevens were dashed as they lost all their Pool B matches against South Africa, Argentina, and Ireland at the Twickenham Stadium.

Despite a strong start, Kenya's Shujaa team ultimately succumbed to pressure from their opponents, with the Irish scoring the winning try in the final seconds of the match.

Coach Damian McGrath's charges struggled to find their footing in the second match against Argentina, conceding multiple tries and failing to mount a comeback.

Kenya's Shujaa team also faced a tough challenge in their last match against South Africa, trailing 19-0 at one point before managing to narrow the gap to five points.

However, it was too little, too late, and Kenya Shujaa will now face off against France in the ninth-place quarter-final on Sunday.
