At 27, Elizabeth Sonia is already a mother of two, and her life has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Born and raised in Kenya, Sonia's journey to stardom began by accident, when she landed a role in a Jiffy production in 2018.

She credits her cousin, a scriptwriter, for recommending her for the role. Sonia's talent and dedication quickly caught the attention of the production team, and she was soon tasked with a bigger role on Kovu.

As an actress, Sonia loves portraying characters like Tamara on Kovu, who is fearless and smart. She has to be two different people at times, and executing that is not easy. Sonia finds it challenging but rewarding, as it gets the best out of her.

Both roles on Maza and Kovu are eye-opening, as they mirror our daily lives. Sonia plays a superhuman on Maza, working for a witch, and a calculative and ambitious gold digger on Kovu.

Before becoming an actress, Sonia worked in various jobs, including a front desk in a pharmacy, where she even learned to prescribe drugs. She later worked as a waitress before being poached by a Sanlam manager to become a financial consultant.

One of the highlights of Sonia's career was earning her first Sh200,000 as a financial consultant. She badly needed that kind of money, and it was a turning point in her life.

However, Sonia's personal life has been marred by relationship mistakes. She has been a single mother of two for seven years, and it has not been an easy road. She has been co-parenting with her first baby daddy, but things have been worse with her second baby daddy.

Despite the challenges, Sonia's children are her motivation to move on. She believes that work hard to make money, as it earns you respect and opens doors for you.

As for her definition of a deadbeat, Sonia believes it is a stupid man who leaves a woman to raise a kid singlehandedly. It's disheartening to think that they exist.

On her past relationships, Sonia fell in love with a celebrity, a well-known gospel artist, who abandoned her when she was pregnant. She was 20 and without a job, and it was a messy situation. The artist was a serial cheat, and they had to end things.

The second guy she cohabited with for two years got her pregnant, but then left and never came back. Again, Sonia was on her own.

As a single mother of two, Sonia's most difficult task is not being able to have a fatherly figure in their lives. She breaks down when she sees other kids with their dads, and wishes she could give her kids that little but critical bit.

Despite the challenges, Sonia's life lesson is to work hard to make money. Money earns you respect, and it will get you any kind of man you desire. Money will open doors for you.
