On Tuesday morning, a 34-year-old man's life took a drastic turn after being attacked by a hyena in Machakos, Kenya. Nicholas Maingi, a football fan, was coming back from watching a match when the beast struck.
Maingi was bitten on the leg at around 5am and was rushed to Kangundo Level 5 Hospital later that day. However, due to the severity of the injury, he was referred to Machakos Level 5 Hospital, where the amputation procedure was performed.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Maingi recounted the incident, saying he was attacked by the hyena while walking back home.
Maingi's case serves as a grim reminder of the dangers that exist in our environment, and the importance of seeking medical attention promptly in case of such incidents.
