Matatu Crew Who Killed Woman After Pushing Her Out of Moving Bus Arraigned

On July 17, 2019, two matatu operators, Joseph Muasya and John Nduai, appeared before Justice Jessy Lesit in court, charged with the murder of 28-year-old Florence Wanjiru.

According to reports, the two suspects allegedly threw Florence out of a moving bus, resulting in her death on the night of July 25, 2018.

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) revoked the licenses of Killeton Sacco crew, including the driver and conductor, and vowed that they would never operate public service vehicles again.

NTSA Director-General Francis Meja stated, 'The class A endorsement (PSV license) for Joseph Muasya and a conductor's badge of matatu registered, KCC 086U for John Ndwai have been revoked.'

The case will be mentioned on July 25, 2019.
