Kenyan viewers of StarTimes Media have more entertainment options than ever, thanks to the pay television company's revamped content offering. The new lineup includes a Kenyan crime drama series, 'Borderline', which premiered on Rembo TV on May 25, 2022.
'Borderline' is set in the 'Eastlands' estate, where the action revolves around Lebo, a reformed gangster trying to stay clean. However, his surroundings are filled with temptation, as many are drawn to crime by the promise of quick money and an escape from poverty.
According to StarTimes regional marketing director Mr. Aldrine Nsubuga, the introduction of 'Borderline' is part of the company's efforts to increase the availability of Kenyan content on its platform. 'We have been working with local content developers to grow the broadcast of exclusive Kenyan shows on Rembo TV,' he noted.
StarTimes has also launched Zee Bollymovies, an English-language channel produced by ZEE Group. The channel features a wide variety of Bollywood movies dubbed in English, including romance, action, family, thriller/suspense, and comedy. It covers new movies from the 1990s to the present and is suitable for the whole family.
Mr. Nsubuga emphasized that StarTimes remains committed to giving its subscribers access to enriched content, ensuring they get value for money. 'We will continue to monitor consumer taste and review our content to suit the whole family,' he concluded.
