On May 25, 2022, Kenswitch Kenya Limited and Absa Bank Kenya Plc announced a partnership that will allow Absa's customers to access over 2200 ATMs on the Kenswitch network.

This collaboration enables Absa customers to transact on Kenswitch's ATM network across the country, benefiting from the extensive network of over 2,200 ATMs, 20,000 plus Agency Banking outlets, and over 15,000 merchant POS outlets.

Kenswitch, a registered limited company, was established by a consortium of banks under the Central Bank of Kenya's National Payments Systems modernisation and reform process. The company's primary goal is to allow participating financial institutions to share payment infrastructure, reducing duplication of scarce resources.

With 26 member banks connected to its local network, Kenswitch provides a robust and interoperable platform for seamless transactions.

As part of its efforts to enhance its services, Kenswitch has appointed Ms. Karimi Ithau as its Managing Director, further solidifying its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
