On July 17, 2019, Last Minute Mara launched a travel platform that enables travelers to book all-inclusive package deals at leading lodges in Kenya's Maasai Mara at the best possible value.
The platform, founded by Nicole Hankar, General Manager of Last Minute Mara, offers luxury trips that allow lovers of the wild to stay in the most luxurious safari camps at discounted rates.
Last Minute Mara's travel proposition is to provide end-to-end bookings, including flights, accommodation, and park fees, at the click of a button. This model adds value to clients, who are discerning residents or visitors, and benefits suppliers – the camps and lodges who typically depend on foreign visitors paying full rates and booking a long time in advance.
The platform's ability to offer lower pricing is due to its limited offering of last-minute travel, which allows for immediate confirmation of travel plans. Last Minute Mara only works with camps and airlines whose technology it can seamlessly integrate with.
According to Nicole Hankar, the savings on Last Minute Mara can go as high as 70 per cent off the publicly available rate. The platform's launch portfolio of camps and lodges includes Angama Mara, Alex Walker's Serian, Asilia, Saruni, Kicheche Camps, and Speke's Camp.
