According to the Kenyan National Bureau of Statistics, a 2018 survey of 47 counties revealed a concerning trend of increasing crimes committed by women.
The Economic Survey 2019 reported a significant increase in crimes committed by women, with 15,037 cases reported to the police in 2018, up from 13,857 in 2017.
Here are the top counties with the highest number of female gangsters based on police reports:
- 1. Kiambu - 2,175 crimes committed by women
- 2. Nairobi - 1,443 crimes committed by women
- 3. Meru - 1,325 crimes reported
- 4. Trans Nzoia - 615 crimes
- 5. Nakuru - 603 crimes by women
- 6. Kakamega - 541 crimes reported
- 7. Kisumu - 446 incidences reported
- 8. Mombasa - 420 crimes
