Published on July 17, 2019, Arsenal manager Unai Emery has outlined the club's transfer strategy for the summer, with a focus on signing high-profile players.
Emery stated that the Gunners are being "very demanding" in their pursuit of top talent, with bids already being made for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.
However, both Palace and Celtic have rejected Arsenal's offers, with Palace boss Roy Hodgson suggesting that the club's valuation of Zaha is too low.
"I don't think Arsenal have actually made a bid that has come anywhere near our valuation," Hodgson said.
Emery remains optimistic that the club can secure the signings they need, with a target of bringing in three or four players who can improve the team and squad.
"Our target is to achieve three or four players who really improve our team and our squad now," Emery said.
