As of this week, Luthuli Avenue in the city centre remains under construction, two months past its scheduled completion date.

According to eyewitnesses, the road has been converted into a one-way street, with metal barriers erected to separate motorists from cyclists.

Despite the inconvenience, the business community and pedestrians are enjoying the newly erected street benches and expanded sidewalks.

However, the upgrade's progress has been hindered by a surprising oversight: the drainage system was left unimproved, prompting engineers to restart the project.
