On Tuesday evening, a who's who of Kenyan leaders gathered for a fundraiser to support the family of the late Joe Kadenge, whose burial expenses were estimated at Ksh. 5 million.
Among those in attendance were opposition leader Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, and Makadara MP George Aladwa.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga made significant contributions, each donating Ksh. 1 million.
Other notable contributors included Mike Sonko (Ksh. 1 million), Musalia Mudavadi (Ksh. 300,000, a chopper to ferry the body home, and a bull), Francis Atwoli (Ksh. 500,000), Esther Passaris (Ksh. 50,000), and Edwin Sifuna (Ksh. 10,000).
